A rectangular pool sits on a wide terrace, bounded by frameless glass fencing that keeps sightlines open back to the house and lawn.

Retaining walls hold the cut, creating a flat lawn above the pool and forming the parking pad at the street.

A long built-in bench seat is set into the retaining wall, giving casual poolside seating without taking up terrace space.

Construction images show the pool shell craned into the excavated backyard and the concrete surround being poured before the final finishes were laid.
