Sydney Design & Landscape Creations Pty Ltd (SDL Creations), NSW builder licence 363676c, is a landscape design and construction business operating across Sydney. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" refer to SDL Creations.

We are bound by the Australian Privacy Principles set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and handle your personal information accordingly.

Information you give us: your name, email address, phone number, suburb, and the details of your project - service required, project type, budget range, timeframe, your written brief, how you found us, and any plans, drawings or photographs you choose to upload.

Information collected automatically: standard web analytics data such as pages visited, time on page, approximate location, referring website, device type and browser. This is collected through Google Analytics and is aggregated rather than tied to your identity.

We do not collect sensitive information (such as health or financial account details) through this website, and we do not process payments online.

We use your information to respond to your enquiry, prepare concepts, quotes and design proposals, deliver and manage construction works, communicate with you during a project, keep records required by law and by our insurers, and improve this website.

We only send marketing communications where you have opted in, and every such message includes a way to unsubscribe.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with trusted parties where necessary to deliver your project or run our business: designers, draftspeople, engineers, certifiers and councils involved in approvals; subcontractors and suppliers engaged on your build; and our software providers for email, file storage, analytics and website hosting.

Some of these providers store data on servers outside Australia. Where that is the case, we take reasonable steps to ensure they protect your information to a standard comparable to the Australian Privacy Principles.

We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law.

We regularly photograph completed work for our portfolio, website and social media. Project photographs are published without addresses, house numbers or identifying details of occupants, and we reference only the general suburb.

If you would prefer your project not to be published, or would like an existing photograph removed, contact us and we will action it.

This website uses cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working correctly and to measure how it is used through Google Analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the site may then work less smoothly.

The site also embeds Google Maps and social media video, which may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies.

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, including access controls on our systems and restricting internal access to those who need it.

We keep enquiry and project records for as long as needed to service you and to meet our legal, warranty and insurance obligations - generally at least seven years after a project completes - after which they are deleted or de-identified.

You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, request a correction, or ask us to delete information we no longer need. Email admin@sdlcreations.com.au and we will respond within a reasonable period, normally within 30 days.

We may need to verify your identity before releasing information.

If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, contact us first at admin@sdlcreations.com.au so we can investigate and resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can escalate the matter to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
