Eastern Suburbs Sandstone Frontage

Hand-laid sandstone retaining, rendered curved boundary walls and sandstone-clad piers — a refined, architectural street frontage that lifts the whole home.
The Brief
A dated, awkward front garden that undersold an otherwise beautiful home — the brief was a calm, architectural street frontage that would age well.
The Site
Meaningful cross-fall to the street and an inherited retaining wall past its life. Council rules required careful attention to boundary heights and setbacks.
Our Approach
Hand-laid sandstone retaining sets the base line, rendered curved walls carry the eye through the entry, and sandstone-clad piers anchor the driveway. Planting is deliberately restrained — mondo grass, clipped hedging and lawn.
Build Detail
Engineered sandstone retaining, rendered blockwork boundary walls with sandstone caps and cladding, honed sandstone pavers to the entry path, and a levelled, hard-wearing kikuyu lawn.
